Limited Lifetime Warranty

This warranty covers manufacturing defects in your Sofa or Sectional frame. If your Sofa frame fails due to a manufacturing defect we will repair or replace the piece at our discretion. Replacement of one piece does not automatically constitute the replacement of the other piece(s). This limited warranty is provided to the original purchaser at the original place of delivery. It is not transferable. The warranty covers the frame. It does not cover normal wear and use of the seats, springs and fabric. Foam, springs, feathers and fabrics will have a limited life span that depends greatly on use by the consumer. This warranty does not cover these items, except in the case of immediate and complete breakdown of foam seat and back cushions within the first year, or spring breakage in the same one year period.

This warranty does not apply to furniture intentionally misused, or to damage resulting from negligence, exposure, rental or commercial use, improper cleaning, or other unreasonable use, or to fabric damage or failure due to additional chemical treatment, improper cleaning, or when heavy soiling, pet hair or abuse is evident. These warranties are not transferable. This warranty is only valid in our original delivery radius of 30 miles from the nearest BuildASofa store. If you are outside that radius, the warranty is only valid if you agree to deliver the piece to the store and pay for return delivery when covered repair is complete.

In The Event Of Defects

Report any defects promptly to your local BuildASofa with proof of purchase. If a needed repair is covered under the warranty, covered repairs will be completed within a reasonable amount of time. If a product is more than a year old, the original purchaser is responsible for costs incurred in shipping and labor for repair.

To the original retail purchaser, we extend PRORATED protection against abnormal loss of resiliency of the upholstered furniture for three (3) years, as long as it is used under normal wear and other normal conditions.  Abnormal wear and abnormal loss of resiliency should not be confused with softening and flattening of the foam and fibers, which are considered normal wear, and are not defects. Compressing of polyurethane foam with use is not considered loss of resiliency.

If you feel you have abnormal loss of resiliency in the cushions,
a cushion must be brought to your local BuildASofa store for evaluation.
